    Ingame settings

Having problems altering the in game settings, won't let me customise movement or any of the advanced options, as well as changing my picture (it keeps flipping back to the circles, despite this not being what I'd chosen)
The only thing it will let me modify are the volume settings.
I'm running a vista machine but it's on XP service pack 2 compatibility mode.

It's nothing vital but it a little annoying and so if anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it =]

Does the game run with compatibility mode off? If so, try that. Also, I'm assuming the game does save.

The control custumizing is a bug that as far as I know hasn't been fixed, but the advanced options and picture should work. Say, about the picture, you have problem when selecting it, or you select it but then it won't "save" the selection?

Yeah I can select everything, it's just that it wont save what I do, like I can select the picture and as long as I'm on the page it's still there and the same for the controls.
It did run on non compat mode when I first installed it but then it wouldn't save (As soon as I left the temple my file was wiped) and so I tried to put it on compat and then it fucked up totally, so I unistalled it and reinstalled it and now it saves but most everything on the options page is fajucked and now it's the same whether on compat mode or not =/
As I said, it's nothing major, just a tad annoying =/

I see. Well, about the picture, you could change the "circles picture" with another one you like manually.

You should put in your whatever\Black & White\profiles\YOUR_PROFILE folder a graysacale 64x64 bmp image with the name symbol"x" where "x" is a number between 1 and 16, and it'll appear in game in the place of former, original, symbol"x". Now, I don't really know wich one is the circles, but I would guess it's 1. I believe there is a way to check it other than trial and error anyway, it shouldn't take you too long to figure it out. There are webpages with lot's of files for this (you can use these images as customized creature tattoos too).
