I'm trying to understand everything about creature growth and alignment before taking up the challenge of making final creature. I've never actually beaten the game yet either (sad, I know...). So I just wanted to ask a few questions to clear up a few things.
1) I understand that creature growth rate dwindles to near nothing after it hits 18, but doesn't actually stop. Does this mean that even if I haven't hit 100% growth by the time he is 18, I can still just let him grow? What about those growth mushrooms, would they still give a boost after my creature hits age 18?
2) I'm having trouble with playing

. I make a point to not kill anyone and to try to satisfy the desires of the villages as much as possible, but I always end up staying neutral. I started turning

once when I started killing/sacrificing people in an enemy village in land 3 once, but haven't done that in quite a while. Any tips to help me turn

?
3) Should I simply try to balance out the children desire flag with the expansion growth flag or would it be better to let their children desire go unfulfilled?
4) When making wonders, I know that more belief means a bigger and more powerful wonder. What if I were to make two wonders, would it be the same as a single wonder twice as big? Is there a max wonder size?
5) In a skirmish game, after you have conquered all of your enemies villages, will his temple disappear or do I actually have to destory it?
6) I tried placing trees in town so that my villagers wouldn't cut them down, but they did anyways. Aren't they supposed to leave them be as a sacred tree or something?
