Playing Black and White for the first time in a while on my new mac with Snow Leopard, I noticed that the mouse is annoyingly unresponsive to the point of unplayability. Middle-button rotation and scroll-zoom work fine, as well as moving the mouse itself, but using the left and right button for action and move prove very unresponsive.

For example, I'll be able to pick up a tree every once in a while and then not be able to put it down, or when I move, I'll be able to grab the ground and move once, but even if I wait 10 seconds, my second click will always zoom me to that area, rather than move the camera again.

The mouse is not the problem, as it works perfectly with everything else, and when I use a keyboard button for move or action everything works just fine. Help!
