    Recent Films Thread

I have just wasted a thread moaning about certain new films so I thought it best if I am to do this to start up a new thread on Offtopic where we can all join in. So basically this is a thread about everything film related. Any movies you have seen recentlly, any movies you want to see, any movies you want to moan about, anything at all. Just talk about them all you want. Lo. Wink [;)]

I saw 'The Ant Bully' a few days ago with my little bro. It actually wasn't half-bad. Wink [;)]

    Re: Recent Films Thread

I usually make a seperate thread for new movies that I watch... I just watched Dark Water and thought about making a thread but chose not to... I guess the force told me to hold out for this one Wink [;)] Dark Water wasn't bad. It wasn't great but it was good. It was written by the same person who did Ring, and I can see several running themes between the two (three I guess) works. A fascination with water and drowning, loveless parents and abandonment, loneliness... I recommend it for anyone who likes horror but it doesn't go down as a movie I'll have in my library if I ever get rich enough to invest in a video library.

    Re: Recent Films Thread

Ant Bully looks alright, I just never was too sure about it cos I loved Antx and A Bugs Life. Have seen Dark Water, that was quite good. Not really scary, but it was interesting. Not as good as ring though. I saw Miami Vice today and loved it completely, loads of people say it doesn't have a lot of action, but I though that what it had was a great plot and great characters. I recommend it if you want an alternative to all the flashy blockbusters. Happy [:)]

I want to see Snakes on a Plane. It's really all I'm thinking about. I wonder if the snakes have any abilities? Like, if water touches them, do they multiply?

    Re: Recent Films Thread

Enjoyed the new Pirates and Superman movies, although I felt they were both longer than they should have been. Top of my 'must see soon' list is Tideland (Terry Gilliam) as the trailer looks like a mix between Tim Burton and Mirrormask, and it's a Gilliam movie.

    Re: Recent Films Thread

I saw Miami Vice yesterday! Now the end sequence was great and so were the 'naughty scenes' Silly [:p] but apart from that I didn't have a clue what was really going on for most the movie. It was quite disjointed and there was no real connection between Colin Farrel and Jamie Fox. It was very average and quite boring. I would rate it about 5.8/10 VS PS. If anyone can give me a really good explanation of what actually happened in the film I would appreciate it. (Obviously over PM Wink [;)] )

    Re: Recent Films Thread

Lol, you struggled to understand the plot as well then. Wink [;)] I admit it is complicated, and I got lost three times in it. I do wish Colin Farrel would speak up though, god he mubled half the time. Sad [:(] And Final Destination 3 was great, not scary, sick and twisted at times, but not scary. Here's another movie to talk about that usually people love or hate, The Da Vinci Code. What were your feelings on this movie?

    Re: Recent Films Thread

I'm a fan of the book so I expected this to be good, and while I enjoyed it, I suppose I found it a little bit dull at times. Liked the plot and the codes still, but I wish more could have happened I suppose.
