When Burkes shoots him, We have no chance to save him.
We can't shoot Burkes before that, We would be attacked.
We can't take the bullet.
Were completely -useless- in Megaton except for killing it.

And another small flaw:
We can't hit Butch back when he hits me at my party. Why not?

I think you need to replay that bit, you can kill Burkes before he kills the sherrif without being classed as , you just need to time it right so that you only kill him after a certain bit of dialog between them has been said.

And in the PC version you can do more than hit him at the party, I go mini-nuke on his ass

Heh, Thanks for that knowledge, Finally able to let him live. But I hate using weapon and armor co- Ok, I've tried getting a few but only a few! I swear!
