Thats really good, How long did it take?

To make the blacksmith and the anvil (and painting it), it took me about 25 hours, but the base is still not done (that's why we don't see his feet), so when it will be all done it will have took me about 30 hours.

it would be great to have the opportunity to make our own weapons.. like it was in Gothic series (do you remember?)

actually I think that the role of the blacksmith could:
- help us to raise money
- help us to gain skills
- contribute to double the fun

i think that having a blacksmith job would rock. it would cover all those
bases that augmentations didn't. and disigning your own weapons would

Great work man!!  In my opinion he could have a bit of soot and ash on him, but great job either way.  You should make action figures for a living if you don't already!    

From what I hear, being a blacksmith will be a 'job' in fable 2.  I wonder if it will allow for actual custom swordmaking.  It would be great to be able to pick from a huge list of blades, handles and materials... or even import your own 3d models...  okay I know that's a stretch.
