  • Re: OT is so dead, nobody has made an 'OT is dead' thread yet.

I am always lurking on a daily basis, but there is not much to check. Not even one page of ''Posts You Have Not Read'' within 24 hours. I have not seen such a low activity since I came here in 2006. Dunno how it was before my time here of course. ... and yes the secret hide-out forum has at least one post every half year.

  • Re: What are you listening to right now?

When I looked for the Giana Sisters theme yesterday, I realised that the WDR symphonic orchestra played a whole concert with Hülsbecks game music.  These tunes are pure awesomeness!Check out Symphonic Shades if you know the old C64/Amiga classics and always wanted to know how they would sound played by an professional orchestra rather than 8bit ...

  • Re: What are you listening to right now?

As I read this week that Armin Gessert died by a heart a attack recently, I felt like replaying The Great Giana Sisters again. He was the leading head behind this Super Mario Clone for the C64 and influenced a lot of German game developers in all the years, like for example Blue Byte (The Settlers).May he rest in peace.Chris Hülsbeck - The Great ...

  • Re: Just bought my new computer.

On a second thought, I would certainly have chosen a tripple-core CPU at least. The era of dual cores is fading away! Six-core CPUs arriving at the end consumer market by next year. Look how the recent Dragon Age scales on CPUs with more than 2 cores ... up to 75% more performance with 4 cores over an equally or even higher clocked dual-core.4 GB ...

  • Re: Dragon Age Originates October 20

It all sounds really from the various reviews I read. At least the PC version is above all doubt a worthy successor of the old Baldur's Gate and that is all that counts for me. I won't buy it now because EA fucked up the German DVDs (broken German language files don't let the game install ... only English works). I will wait for a reshipment to ...

Lord_Terrible:Quase: As much as I like you guys, you can't be trusted to bring these things up by yourselves. Rather a preemptive attentionwhoration than having your cosmic insignificance slowly revealed to you through internet apathy.Point taken and granted, I would no have noticed it. Back in the days of VBulletin there was this nice cake beside

  • Re: Computer or Xbox 360

GRYWOLF1979:But that's no reason to throw your Xbox in the trash.  Plenty of reasons to have a console.  For example, ever tried playing a car racing game on a PC?  A word of advice: DON'T.  Forza Motorsport, Grid, Burnout, NFS, Midnight Club, Project Gotham, etc., with a mouse and arrow keys?  No thank you!  Unless you're going to invest the ...

RAVEK: quaseman:For about 16 this is a offer one can not refuse. Sometimes I wish, I was not so paranoid for having a credit card and totally refuse buying anything through digital distribution ... well no buy until it will be on the shelf than, maybe never ... when will developers learn? But you can easily use paypal without a credit card ... ...
