The most reasonable and obvious thing to know is that Vista requires a very powerful PC to run(Home Premium and above) to be able to use Windows Aero and play BnW2 because Vista takes alot of RAM to run (about 1GB for Home Premium) along with BnW2 using 512 MB RAM.

Do you have all the games patches installed? I have a PC with a Quad Core and I've had no problems so far. Do you have the latest drivers for your video card, the Radeon HD cards would work but having the latest drivers helps because it includes fixes for Radeon HD cards for games like BnW2.
