I will be very disappointed if Lionhead wastes their time on online Arenas.
Every person playing the game will eventually have the best hero gear. The abilities will not be skill based since the game is primarily a single player RPG and NOT a MMORPG with PvP aspects.
Thus, online arena would consist of two players with equal gear, single ...

I think hitting the peak of immersion will require realistic weather effects. But not only graphical effects need to improve. There's something far more important that I think has yet to be attempted.
Seeing the effects of water on objects and landscape is definately the next step. Drake's has done well stepping into this area. But mud after rain,

Nice find! I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't posted it. Feburary 18th can't come soon enough!
I suspect the three big features are...
1) Voice commands for the dog and some NPC interactions.
2) Some form of online multiplay. I'm guessing mini-games or item trading/buying.
3) Seeing as it plans to spring the RPG genre forward, I would ...

You mention the death system. I see that as an improvement over the old system of die and reload last save point. With the old system there was no penalty for dying so if you threw yourself at the fight enough times eventually you would win with no penalties other than time wasted.
With the new system you are still penalized via time, but ...

I'll have to say, the 100% true old fashioned RPG description just doesn't do the genre justice these days.
RPGs are incorporating more and more different features to compliment the core aspects of an RPG. Even non-RPGs are incorporating RPG aspects into games. You have leveling so to speak and character customization in some shooting games ...

People just don't realize how much effort it would take to make a primarily single player RPG work well with 1 or more additional players. Especially to have that player occupy the same game world as the first player. Now on the same console things become a bit easier, but over the internet things are much more complicated.
If the ''guest'' ...

First off, valiant effort to depict the legendary struggle of Men vs Dragon!
I think a lot of people are bringing a lot of Co-op ideas that are approaching, to close I might add, an MMO style game. I really don't think Lionhead is aiming for those types of Co-op. I think they will aim to simply enrich the single player gameplay with multiplayer ...

In my opinion, voice commands would obviously work very well with a dog. I wouldn't bet on many more gameplay elements using voice commands though.
But, Microsoft has recently released a voice recognition technology called Sync. It works in cars currently and I'm sure Microsoft is itching to get it into other products.
Simple commands ...

I personally feel that once the main story has run its course, we shouldn't be stuck to play a 50 year old character. This is assuming you can continue to play the game after the main quest.
If the game ends at the end of the story I'd be disappointed but I guess the permanent oldness wouldn't be a problem.
Any info on whether there is a ...

One thing that hasn't been done that PM would definitely be interested in would be aging and death. In fable 1 you never got so old your character died. Maybe in fable 2 all the characters throughout the world age and die but also give life and pass down generations.
That has never been done before and would coincide in my opinion with PM's way of
