That map with the extra red dots was the orginal map for fable 1 but the devs had to cut some of it out before the game was released. As of people saying that landforms change over time they do earths plates shift all the time but its a few inch's a year so over 500 years it would be maybe about 10 to 20 feet differnt there is ovioubsly more land ...

Using a dog for a companion has been used in stories of all kind for literally thousands of years. Fall out 3 is not really coping fable 2 because fall out 3's dog is just a fighting companion i beleive where as fable 2's puppy is not so much to aid you in combat but to be your guide around the wolrd of albion.
