if they made the world&the story and the character relations truly interesting they wouldn't need to add in new game play elements to keep people interested.
i mean in oblivion (dont shoot me, this is an important reference) they hardly changed anything game play wize from morrowind, all they did was sort out the combat a bit...and people ...

being a hero and being heroic (allthough being up to the individual) seems like a big part of the fable franchise, some one mentioned it in a previous thread...
from having the Hero's guild and being part of the hero bloodline...to making heroic (or not so heroic) choises...
well basicaly i can see why in fable 3 overthrowing the tyrant could be ...

you are presented like you start off as a nobody but in fact you are always part of the ''hero bloodline'' so you are special right from the outset.
you are told ''for every choice a consequence'' but usually (especially in fable 1) your choices had no impact on the ...

but that was one of the best features of the game, it was more immersive...if your kid grew up properly and the npc's aged (at certain points in the story) it would help add th the believability.
in fable 1 when you got to the wastes and fought the dragon it realy reminded me of the old epics and legends... especially Beowulf (he fought a dragon ...

...slow down there, lionhead are getting rid of the childhood stage?!
i had no idea that was happening, thats horrific, fable was supposed to show you growing up, from child hood to old age...and in fable 2 they basically removed old age via the temple of light and other quests...and now there removing child hood! they may as well take ageing out ...

and bring back twin blade and nostro and maze...and iron man...and zelda.

ok so PM said that fable was going to be the greatest RPG of all time...this wasn't true, but its a great goal. when fable 2 was coming out he said some thing like ''i know what i said, and im still aiming for that, whats the point of doing something if your not going to try and make it the best?''. great words. so my problem is what the hell ...
