I think I finally figured it out. The reason why they haven't patched it, and are making one large patch instead of a few small fixes, is they want to have it fully patched for Christmas! December 1st. If there is no patch, I'm going to return the game. This was the most anticipated game for me. I LOVED fable, and think the mechanisms of Fable II are really awesome...but, I cannot progress in the story.
