DarthTrethon: Fable 2 is the only possible winner of 2008. No other game comes close to it when it comes to winning GOTYs.   That's because The Elder Scrolls 5 isn't out... and every other game kinda sucked or was a sequel #2 (A #2 that was worst than the first, some of them) this year.
