You could look at it this way: Your char is the child of your F2 char. What were your children like in F2? Technically, you have known your char since childhood. So, you should feel pretty close to them already. Just one way of looking at it. ^-^

Thinking about the 'touch' mechanic in context with romance..... Wouldn't it be nice to be able to hold your baby? Or play with your child? Hug or kiss your wife? I think also, it would be nice if maybe your children grow older, like to full adult. Just things I, personally, would like to see.
