Also, how did your hero manage to get his front teeth knocked out?!

They're available from a trader in Knothole Island. If you're trying the old fashioned way, then you'll want to kill. Given that there is only a supposed 2% chance getting them, it's likely going to take a very long time to alter a persons disposition enough times to get them.  

Not really related, but the first time I played through that scene I had a friend in the game with me. He kept making his henchman laugh throughout the 'service' then started dancing on the grave. Kind of killed the moment at the time, but I always smile when I think of it now.

I like the idea of dual wielding, but probably not melee and range at the same time!   I'd hoped they would make the big weapons slower and more powerful. Then they could have allowed you to wield two lighter weapons, maybe at the expense of the block ability or something. That might have been a nice balance.   Son-of-Twinblade...
