It is because town value goes down which reduces the price of all shops and houses. To make it stay stable and the value not go down keep the price at 0% meaning you make the profit of what you would've when you bought the store/house. Also, just to let you know, keeping your real estate at a high percent makes your go up.

Same situation here, I have restarted my xbox well over 100 times just to save Garth. Once I saved him, I had to go to his castle, once there I saved the game and went through a teleporter for a load screen. It ends up, where I saved is impossible for me to load due to this bug/glitch thing. I am completely devastated after spending well over 20 ...

the exact same thing happens to me. whenever a load screen comes up such as when im traveling it freezes. i have found that bringing the guide up helps a little. But, sadly,  i happened to save at a spot where i cannot even load my saved game anymore because of this. And why doesnt lionhead have anybody on the forums comforting us in our waste
