I go mostly go through a site called EBSCO or Premier Article Search (don't know if those are sites or programs) but I think I get them free because my uni has membership.
I'll side with Lord T on google scholar... it's the only database for peer reviewed articles that I know of.
Alternatively (and this is the hard way) you could locate the names

I agree with what you're saying about the voice... I'm okay with the txting kid voice, but any suggestions on how I can make the point more evident, or the kid's drama more interesting (or supplant the kid with something ...

I wrote this first to guide me in the creation of the poem. It's not exactly what I'm trying to say in it, but the idea I'm rolling with:
To communicate ideas one must know and speak the language of the listener. One can seek out those who speak the same language, but only if one doesn't want to speak to the others. As technology evolves so ...

What an awesome idea. I don't live there anymore, but I found these vids of a river I grew up right beside.

hey ya'll. In one of my uni classes we've been asked to write a monologue (one person only speaking). I decided to do one about evolving language (in the context of netspeak).
Any comments on how to make it meatier or leetier would be appreciated. Otherwise, hope its at least interesting.

It's to see some familiar names.
I've been going to school for the last 2 years (roughly how long since I was last a regular here) and teaching English to Korean kids here in Canada. Everything is going well.
Our school (the one I teach at) has an online writing program where the kids write stuff and I correct it and comment ...

vbulletin sounds familiar and 160$ is (with a bit of sweet talkin) maybe within range. I'm googling it now, but is it what we used to use here way back in the day?
edit: just found it and it looks like THE exact thing I was looking for! And, it seems if it's not the one that was once used here, it is the one that is used at a number of

Hi I haven't been here in a very long time, so most (all?) of you prolly don't know me. But, I remember this as the go-to place for info of this sort.
I'm looking for forum software that is open-source, free or cheap (like under 50 bucks), and that is allowed to be used commercially. Can anyone recommend something?
