kev670:Is there any way of being able to write short messages on the site without having to go through the code
What type of code? The HTML markup or something else? What scripting languages does the hosting company support?
If the page is just going to have some text (dates and event descriptions for example) that you want the ...

Elite3van:I have recently been thinking about my life after school. I am currently 13 and have a passion for games. I'm smart (I think). I'm top in my maths class, science class and IT class, and I am a musician for my county. I really want to become a programmer, but is it too hard/ambitious for me. I have tried Visual Basic but it looked sooo ...

I'd like them to make it impossible to max out your character in every attribute so that Heros are different based on the choices they make when impoving their skills.
I'd also like to make the world impossible to max out (no 5 star economies everywhere). Ruling the world should involve tough choices that positively affect one region while ...

BayStone: teker0:The other thing I'm in favor of is having the player make decisions at ''character creation'' time...I think this goes straight against what Fable is about. No choices on the skills or class should be made in the beginnong of the game. It's all within the game itself. Granted, changing attributes, etc. is very easy in Fable, but ...

How about not gaining experience from killing things? DnD and many of its derivatives force you to kill NPCs to gain XP. When we used to play Hero System based games (Champions, Cyber Hero, etc) we never received character points for killing. It was based on whether or not you completed the mission successfully.

I prefer the ''killing things'' part of the game more than features like this, but it seems ...

sockets in C# are one of the easier implementations I have seen. There's a rather simple TCP example here: http://www.csharphelp.com/archives/archive127.html
I'm a bit confused by your statement about building an http client/server and then breaking it when moving to tcp... http is built on top of tcp.

The Bag:
I think Microsoft wants all of their testers to have software engineering degrees...yeah...to do QA.
That's not for QA testers as such, but QA Engineers (I think is the term they use) who are people who write test harnesses, automated testing programs, monitoring systems, etc.
Can't say for now, but when I worked at MS during the 90s

DarthTrethon:Halo Reach will work with Natal
Source? Only articles I've seen indicate Bungie is looking at it but no firm commitments. If they can use Natal to build a model of my face and put it in the game, I might buy it. If they use it for controls, forget it. If I want the experience of shooting something, I'll get my
