Alright so I had this issue pretty bad after I installed the update.  The entire system would lock up on me after only 2 or 3 minutes.  I spent all sorts of time talking to Xbox Support.  I even traded the disc in and got a new one.  But I found a fix that worked on mine.  Hopefully this can help some of you out ...
