Remember I backtracked on that.  :-P   F3 will still be controller only though for the meat n potatoes so don't panic.  

Hundreds of gravestones?  You presume too much sir!   Any graves that are there will be prime real estate for the dev team. It wouldn't be fair to include a handful of forum members only. There are some huge Fable fans out there who don't come to the boards. Maybe we will run a competition for one or 2 people to be included ...

Hey you never know. Peter might suddenly decide it's a idea...and make the books readable using the Wiimote and Eyetoy in combination.

The problem would be proving that it was their story. Someone could nick something, say its ok to use it, and then we'd be in trouble. That's it...I can't think of any more excuses as to why we shouldn't use fanfic.

It's unfortunate you feel this way. Who knows...perhaps Fable 3 might surprise you or at least go some way to restoring your faith.

There are probably legal minefields we like to potentially avoid.

I really don't think we have the time or inclination to go leafing through hundreds of stories. They belong on the boards, regardless of quality.

That's only my opinion. As we have seen before, those who make the big decisions are prone to lunacy  ;-)

My own view is that fanfic is best left on the boards. If people want to read fanfic, this is the easiest and best place for it. Most of the fanfic is not very well written, would need time consuming editing, and often does not fit in with the history and world etc. I'd rather leave the writing to the proper writers we have. They have to earn ...
