  • Re: Now that Fable III has been announced, where is Fable II PC?

I somehow doubt Fable 2 would be very mod friendly on PC, TLC wasn't (which was rather disappointing, what's the point of being able to continue playing after the end if there's nothing to do?), although that didn't stop a few mods from being released. Meralonne, I think a large reason why so many people on these forums were (and still are) upset ...

Personally, I just don't see the logic behind Microsoft, of all companies, denying a Windows port of a game. With the bad reputation of Vista, surely quality games released for it could only be a thing? Now, of course, there's Windows 7, and I'm sure some decent games that are guarunteed to be compatible wouldn't hurt it's sales, either. Surely ...

  • Re: Programming and its Connection to Math

Many of you have just depressed me. I was hoping to get through the rest of my uni career without looking at linear algebra again. (What can I say, C's can be discouraging)If you plan on doing programming at university (or college, depending on your country, I guess), chances are you're going to have to do some maths subjects as a required part of

  • Re: after death

There is proof that cannot be disputed by a reasonable person. That's why they use things such as fingerprints and DNA in courts of law, where they have to prove something beyond a reasonable doubt. Of course, to many atheists, anyone who believes in any sort of religion is not reasonable anyway, so it would be rather difficult to provide any proof

  • Re: after death

I can't imagine such a thing as infinite joy or happiness, so I doubt such a thing exists. I'm sure I'd get bored, and still be trapped there forever... and ever... and ever... etc. At least in life there's always a way out if desperate, with the whole 'eternity' thing, there's no way out. You can't die if you're already dead, can you?Nope, the ...

  • Re: after death

Undead---God:Perhaps if you didn't say that God exists as fact and therefore everyone else is wrong there'd be no need to for these discussions? If you say something is fact and there's a limitless supply of evidence against it and nothing in its favour but a book you can't get upset or complain when people disagree.Could you please point me to ...

  • Re: Your wish is granted...

I wish I had advanced senses of sight, smell and hearing. So I'm too lazy to mess with the quote stuff. Granted, your senses of sight, smell and hearing are advanced. You quickly realise just how bad the world smells, and that nothing can prevent you from smelling it. A dog farts 5 miles away and you smell it as if you were trapped in a small room ...

Granted. The pub is knocked down and replaced with a fitness centre frequented by morbidly obese people who seem to quite enjoy wearing skimpy lycra clothing - although it is often difficult to tell whether they're actually wearing clothing at all... I wish there was something entertaining to do during my 3 hour gap at uni on Tuesdays.

  • Re: Science or Religion?

Del didn't, actually... I kept seeing it while peering over his shoulder while he was on the forums. Then I got bored yesterday and decided to look at the forums... and found it was still there. Creepy Anyway, this has nothing to do with the thread. Someone post something interesting, I require entertainment!

  • Re: Science or Religion?

I think it wasn't so much the religions (let's just use Christianity as an example) were created to control people, more that those in power found them to be a way to control people, and therefore adopted them. If this hadn't happened, Christianity probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere, really, especially with the whole 'let's throw Christians in
