• Re: Education in a brave new world

Quoting: RaggsExtremely skilled workers will be falling under that category of ''manual labour''. People need to have some of their sensibilities hurt these days. No ones child is stupid anymore, they're given all sorts of excuses. I'm sure that 20 years ago children could be branded as stupid, and there was little the parents could do, ...

  • Re: Education in a brave new world

I think the problem with your scheme here is emotional feelings and parents. If you were to stamp stupid on a kid no matter how stupid they were the parents would be extremly anoyed, upset and against the system causing huge fuss over it. There are women who almost attacked Tony Blair for not being able to get teachers to impart wisdom into their ...

  • Re: Education in a brave new world

I totaly agree, people use these conditions way too much, and there's way too much emphysis on trying to improve the education of those that don't want it. I'd also like to see harder tests (by miles) and more selective collages and Universities, because it seems to me a dumb person can easily get an extremly high score close to that of an ...

  • Re: Compulsions and Obsesions

My name's Tom and I have a problem. Tom this isn't a discusion group. Is it, or is it you just can't admit you have a problem? I have an obsesion with making fun of people and things for a laugh and generaly be evil about small tings, I can't stop, today I laughed at a person falling of their chair (which me and some others had... riged ) and ...

  • Re: Greatest hero to ever live?

Quoting: YeshouaSoldiers hope they don't have to fight, but are ready to do so. Che hoped he would die That's why they call him insane . Depends what you look for ina hero, if you look for a man who tried his best to defend the free people of the planet and help them then possible that guy, but if you want a guy who was an ultimate ...

  • Re: The Demonisation of Men

Quoting: sirjoe Radical feminists are conditioned to hate men; normally I've found that they have been wronged by men or a man previously and they've decided (very wrongly) to judge all men based on those experiences. That's women for you . Lets face it, it's always going to be this way, men and women will always be judged differently to

  • Re: Christians, what say you?

I heard about this in RE, suposidly Jesus and the other names were very common at the time, apparently over 3,000 tombs have been found with their names so with them together, it isn't even evedience

  • Re: Comedy as an Act of Defiance

Humour is just used to mock or chushion things, good for getting the message no to be scared of something or that it's not that bad. Personaly I think seriousness is the best way to get something across, if people know that it's important they pay more attention and will actually take it seriously enough to make sure they get everything like ask ...

  • Re: Ask a Christian!

Quoting: AMAUNATOR_THE_REVEALERTom, you're fading on me again. Try to make more than two sentences in a long paragraph... 1. Of course it's impossible to 'not sin'. Hence my remark. 2. Would only a christian try less to sin? Well yes, of course, because they know now exactly what not to do. That doesn't mean that they won't still do some ...
