• Re: C++ Learning

    no bother really, I think it's just a personal preference, also, I haven't really got deeply involved in using an Microsoft IDE, I mean I use visual basic in college, but you can hardly compare that to a C++ IDE, but I started with using an open source compiler, so it's just what i'm used to.

  • Re: C++ Learning

    I tend to find that system(''pause'') is more effective,but thats just me, it's also a lot cleaner to read, well I think so anyway. I know using Visual C++ is probably great, but I use an open source compiler, C++ has been standardised, so you basically get what you need in any compiler/IDE. C++ isn't that hard to pick up, I ...

  • Re: Help with Programming Language

    well, in the UK you can infact leave education at 16. I'm doing a computing course at my sixth form, persoanlly we use visual basic as our main language, but to be honest, much of what we do can be applied to any language (and thats as I hate VB and thats why I do C++ at home) I wasn't aware that you could do any type of 'game development' course ...

I also got tropico 2 : pirate cove ,it was , but its a completely different type of game compared to the original... i think they could have kept the original concept and really refined it, unfortunately that wasnt so...but the sequel was still

  • Re: The Sims 2 Bon Voyage

    see... the thing is, i actually like sims expansion packs *shock horror* I enjoy installing a new feature and seeing what else has been added to the game, and now I appreciate this even more after recently purchasing 'the sims life stories', it is a stand alone version of the sims that might possibly be one of the worst additions to the sims ...

  • Re: Love: Wtf?

     Quoting: deliriousstudios I'd like to know where you get this 'fact' from. oh, touche, ok its not a fact, but its a well known piece of human nature depicted in the media and expressed by many, therefore does that not make it at least a type of fact, as it is a rule that does apply to some? meh I dont have to fight, what i said ...

  • Re: Love: Wtf?

    funny this topic was brought up, me and a friend of mine recently talked about this, and we came to a conclusion. before love, there must be lust, thats how 'the spark' happens, and there must be about 50% physical attraction to the 50% 'true love' (IE love of the person through conversation and personality) initially, it's what starts a ...
