But one thing, in 'Sandbox mode', it doesn't matter what the star rating of the movie is.  Star ratings only really help you in the Tycoon mode.  You don't unlock anything or get anything extra by making movies with higher stars in sandbox, only in tycoon mode. To get 5 Stars in Tycoon mode, you have to have the First Class Script Office

Try this and see if it works: right click on the desktop icon, go to properties, click on the compatability tab, click on the 'run this program in compatability mode for:' and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2).  See if that helps.
